The Fine Art of Digital Printing

R Mac Holbert and John Paul Caponigro are serving up their new seminar, fresh off their tour with the Epson Print Academy.  This all-day event is an expanded version of the Academy and most of what they cover in their workshop, The Fine Art of Digital Printing

You'll learn about the latest advances in digital printing, and how to evaluate printers, inks, media, RIPs, and profiles.

John Paul and Mac will build a file from the ground up; see the workflow in action, detailed step-by-step.  You not only see the results, but take them home - John Paul and Mac will give a custom poster to every participant.

Samy's Camera will be present with an Epson 7900 for printing and will be on call to answer any questions and offer specials.

You'll learn a variety of tools and techniques that will help improve and refine both your digital files and prints, as well as learning to seamlessly integrate Adobe software: Lightroom, Bridge, Camera Raw, and Photoshop.

 Topics include:

 - Evaluating printers

 - Comparing media

 - Quick Color Management

 - How to analyze images to determine an optimum strategy

 - Raw Conversion

 - Sophisticated color adjustment strategies

 - Selections and Masking

 - Upsampling

 - Noise Reduction

 - Sharpening - Input, Creative, and Output
